Join us at Frawley Stadium for Delaware’s kick-off of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, 7th annual “Fight for the Gold” night with the Wilmington Blue Rocks and the Gold Ribbon Alliance. Bring your family and friends to the ballpark for an action-packed baseball game and enjoy the fun, family and atmosphere of Blue Rocks baseball. Proceeds benefit Fight for the Gold and A.I. duPont Hospital for Children Hematology/Oncology Program.
The purpose of the Fight for the Gold event is to highlight September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Delaware foundations and organizations involved in the fight against childhood cancer have united as one force, known as the Gold Ribbon Alliance, to promote the kick-off of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. We want the public to know that the “Gold Ribbon” represents the life-threatening Fight that children battling cancer face everyday. The Gold Ribbon Alliance members will assemble children from each foundation to honor at the Fight for the Gold event and be known as Gold Ribbon Kids. Delaware foundations Fight for the Gold every day by promoting advocacy, increasing awareness and finding a cure for childhood cancer whether through research funding or community programs.
