Kay’s Kamp offers a summer camp experience for children suffering from cancer who are now in the end stages of life.         What you need to know: Each family decides how much time is spent at kamp, whether one hour or an entire day.  Overnight kamping is available for those kids who have the desire and are able. Each child will be assigned to a one- on-one nurse (RN) to accompany them at all times.  Although parents will not be allowed to stay at kamp with their child, they will have cell phone access to that nurse at all times. Special arrangements can be made for parents at local lodging to remain close to Kamp while their child is enjoying fun and companionship with other kids dealing with cancer.  For additional information contact:   memcknight@kewf.org Letter from a Kamp Nurse It was an honor and privilege for me to be able to accompany DH and be a small part of his life for the week of Kamp.  Seeing joy and happiness on the face of sick children is one of the greatest things in the world a person can experience.  When he wanted to come back to Kamp day after day and then decided to spend the night as well, it was confirmation for me that Kay’s Kamp is right on track with what they strive to give to these children for just one week of their lives.
